Kristin Wagner is a dance performer, choreographer, and educator living and working in Boston, MA. Kristin’s dance training began at an early age in Simsbury, CT at Terpsichore Dance and Theater Company under the direction of Melissa Jean Feder. In 2012, Kristin graduated from Boston University with a BA in Hospitality Administration and a minor in Dance. While at BU, Kristin trained extensively with Micki Taylor-Pinney, Ann Brown Allen, DeAnna Pellecchia, and Ingrid Schatz. She also participated in workshops and residency programs with nationally and internationally recognized artists such as Michael Jahoda, Monica Bill Barnes, Nathan Trice, and Paula Josa-Jones. As a student, Kristin was an active member of BU’s Dance Theater Group, serving as both Treasurer and President for the group as well as choreographing numerous works and performing in many pieces at both formal and informal concerts. Kristin represented BU as a performer and choreographer at the American College Dance Festival on multiple occasions. Professionally, her choreography has been produced at Boston University and Kelley Donovan’s Third Life Choreographers’ Series. Since graduating, Kristin has continued her dance education at the Bates Dance Festival (2014), where she worked with Cathy Young, Omar Carrum, and Claudia Lavista. Kristin has been performing as a soloist and core company member with KAIROS Dance Theater/DeAnna Pellecchia and Ingrid Schatz (www.kairosdancetheater.org) since January 2012, and has toured New England and NYC with the company. In Fall 2012, Kristin appeared in the Art on the Marquee art installation at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center as part of a collaboration with KAIROS and digital media artist Alison Kotin. Kristin has also recently appeared in works by Angie Moon Dance Theatre/Angie Conte of Boston, MA and Delfos Danza Contemporanea/Omar Carrum and Claudia Lavista of Mazaltan, Mexico.
In addition to her performance career, Kristin has enjoyed teaching a wide variety of ages and dance styles at summer camps, intensive programs, after school programs, recreational studios, pre-professional academies, and colleges for the last two years.
